Attachments Library
Overview
Manage files and documents that can be attached to various records in Mezan, creating a centralized repository for important business documentation.
The attachments library provides a centralized system for storing and managing all documents related to your business operations, you can also attach images to be used in custom templates. All attachments added anywhere in Mezan are stored in the attachments library. Transactions by default are private and can only be accessed if the user is currently logged in and has access to the organization, but some attachments can be added as public, this is useful incase you want to add images to be used in custom templates.
Accessing the Attachments Library
To access the Attachments Library:
- Navigate to Organization Settings in the sidebar menu
- Select "Attachments Library" from the Organization Settings menu
Managing Attachments
Viewing Attachments
The Attachments Library displays all uploaded files with:
- A preview thumbnail of the file
- The file name
- Status indicator to show if the file is private or public
- Information about who added the file
- Date and time when the file was added
Adding Attachments
To add a new file to the library:
- Click the "ADD ATTACHMENT" button in the top-right corner
- Drag and drop the file you wish to upload, or click the upload card to select a file from your device
- Choose whether to make the file public or private
Public vs. Private Attachments
- Private Attachments: This is the default for all attachments added anywhere in Mezan, and only accessible to users who are logged in and have appropriate access permissions to the organization
- Public Attachments: Can be accessed without login restrictions, ideal for images used in custom templates
Use Cases
- Store important business documents like copies of contracts, copies of vendor invoices, or other relevant documents
- Maintain brand assets like logos and images for use in custom templates
- Centralize documentation required for accounting and business operations
