Mezan POS
The till does not stop because the internet did
A point of sale that runs in the browser or as a native Android app, keeps selling and printing when the connection drops, and sends everything through once it is back.
- Works offline
- Native Android app
- Scale barcodes
What is inside
-
Offline capable
Selling and printing continue; transactions upload when the line returns.
-
Android app
A native app for till hardware, with silent thermal printing.
-
ZATCA Phase 2
Simplified invoice reporting and QR codes from the device itself.
-
Scale barcodes
Weight and price read straight off the electronic scale label.
-
Many stores, many tills
Per-terminal configuration and per-store payment methods.
Designed for the cashier, not the accountant
The screen someone stands in front of for eight hours has to be fast before it is anything else.
-
Selling offline
A dropped connection does not stop the queue. Invoices are issued and printed locally, then uploaded automatically when the line comes back.
-
Native Android app
Runs on Android till hardware with silent thermal printing, alongside the browser version on any other device.
-
E-invoicing at the till
Simplified invoices are signed, carry the QR code, and are reported to ZATCA.
-
Electronic scale barcodes
The scale label carries the product code, weight and price; Mezan decodes it into a correctly priced invoice line.
-
Wired to inventory
Every sale draws down the right branch’s stock, so there is no parallel count and no end-of-day reconciliation.
-
Payment methods per store
Cash, card and other methods defined per store, flowing into receipts in the ledger.
Offline operation
What actually happens when the connection drops
It is the question shop owners ask first, and in most systems the honest answer is "the till stops". In Mezan it does not: the data the device needs is held on the device, and invoices are stored locally until the connection returns.
- Products and prices are available on the device without the network
- The customer’s receipt prints the moment the sale completes
- Queued transactions upload in order, with nothing for the cashier to do
- ZATCA reporting completes once the connection is back
From the till to the ledger
-
The sale
Completed on the device, online or not.
-
The receipt
Local thermal print of the simplified invoice.
-
The upload
Queued transactions sent when the line returns.
-
The entry
Stock drawn down and the journal entry posted.
For grocers and anything sold by weight
The scale prints the label; the cashier only scans it
In supermarkets, butchers and date shops the routine is weigh, label, scan. An electronic scale barcode carries the product code and either the weight or the price, and Mezan decodes it into an invoice line at the right price.
- Product code and weight or price read from the label itself
- No typing a weight in and no working a price out on a calculator
- Stock is drawn down by weight, not by unit count
- Works alongside ordinary barcodes on the same device
Who needs it

Common questions
Do I need special hardware to run the point of sale?
No. The point of sale runs in the browser on any device, and there is a native Android app for till hardware that supports silent thermal printing.
What happens if the internet drops mid-sale?
Selling and printing continue on the device, transactions are held locally and uploaded automatically when the connection returns, and ZATCA reporting completes after that.
Are invoices issued at the till Phase 2 compliant?
Yes. Simplified invoices are signed, carry the QR code, and are reported to ZATCA in line with Phase 2 requirements.
Can I run several tills across several branches?
Yes. Each terminal has its own configuration and each store its own stock and payment methods, and everything lands in the same books.
