Using Table Views
Each page has a default table view in Mezan, with no filters applied, and a default set of columns to be displayed. By default, dates are not part of the saved filters in the table view by design, to keep the tables results always fresh. All the other filters are saved in the table view.
To create a new table view:
- Make sure you are on the "Default" view, to configure a new table view.
- Configure the filters as needed.
- Click the "Gear" icon to configure the columns to be displayed if needed.
- Click the "Save" button to save it as a new view.
- Give your view a descriptive name.
Once your view is created, you can mark it as "Favorite" for quick access, or as "Default" to use it as the default view when you open the page.
While on a view, if you make any changes to the filters or columns, you can click the "Save" button to update the view with the new settings.
Using it with Your Team
The defaults and favorites in table views are shared across all team members in the organization. Only managers can modify table views, but team members can use them as needed.
Use Cases
Useful filters to create saved views for:
- Reporting Dimensions Filters (e.g., "Project A"): to show data for a specific reporting dimension filter
- Store filters (e.g., "Store: Main Store"): to show data for a specific store
- Team Member filters (e.g., "Person: Current User"): this is a dynamic filter that will dynamically show the currently logged in user as the person filter in the table view.
